The serenity of a cool April morning was soon crushed with the way ward smash of  a careening tree branch across the roof of a Lakewood home – and worse news was to follow. The roof was slate and not the domain of amateurs.

Calling the lowest bidder was surly a terrible mistake as the consequences of a failed roof would be catastrophic and potentially fatal.

The call had to go out to professionals- someone who has been around. The company had to be trusted- after all what is the use of a guarantee if the contractor was a fly by night operation.

For us the day started in a manner not dissimilar to others. Chris had taken the distressed callers information and was soon heading west bound to meet the homeowner.
